New Age WriterThe début single from New Age Writer, a singer/songwriter based in Australia.

New Age writer normally has the kind of sound you’d expect from an established female vocalist on the acoustic/folk scene. This track was originally recorded with that expected acoustic guitar and vocal sound, but when she signed a deal with Wobbly Music, she asked if I could bring a new dimension to this song. This I did, with a quirky kind of arrangement that has proven quite popular in the UK in recent months. However, New Age Writer wasn’t convinced, and her friends all agreed that they prefered the original arrangement; the kind of sound that they were used to. But the proof of the pudding, as they say, came with its exposure on Jango.com where listeners who weren’t used to her usual kind of sound, voted with their fingers and gave us the highest percentage of new fans from this airplay than any of our previous releases managed to acheive.

BTW, the original guitar track is still prominent in the mix … but you probably wont recognise it!

Vocals: New Age Writer
Percussion & Progamming: Lynn Monk
